Thankful!

This was me exactly a year ago... single, had a dog, pretty bored with life, didn't really know what I wanted to do or where I wanted to settle.

It is crazy how much has changed since then. I would have never guessed that in the next year I would meet my husband, get married, start a new job, move to McMinnville and be planning for my future like we are.

September 7th, 2008

All those cliched sayings about meeting the right person when you least expect it could not have been more true for me. This Thanksgiving I am thankful for not only my friends and family and all I have been blessed with. But I am thankful that FINALLY I get to spend the Holidays with someone that Loves me as much as my husband does... that is a great feeling :)

Foggy Friday

The fog broke for a bit this morning on the hilltop for some nice foggy vineyard shots!

Pirates!

With all this news about pirates I was taken down memory lane to when I too had my brush with pirates... ok so not exactly a brush but still...for those of you who once thought I was joking when I said there were still pirates off the coast of Asia... I WAS NOT EXAGGERATING. When our Semester at Sea ship passed through the islands of Indonesia three years ago, we were on alert for several days with crew members lining the exterior decks.

With all these new exciting stories about Pirates, it made me think about my trip around the world and reminisce about the crazy adventure...here are just a few photos that were handy...

Finally a nice day to play in the field with Sunny...all these shots were taken with my little pocket camera around our house in McMinnville...those little cameras do a great job these days! :)

PDX Weekend

Kasey, Travis and I had a fun weekend up in Portland. We started the night at the RedRoom where my boss's band was playing and I was taking pics for them...

"Hit Me Baby"...

the name of their group...and they were really good! We enjoyed it.

We got their cd!...

Kasey saved the day by providing some entertainment for Travis while I took pics...

We stayed at the Hotel Fifty... Newly remodeled and were VERY impressed with it. Its right on the Riverfront and close to downtown!
